An early draft of the thing I'm thinking about for our album cover - still very much a work in progress. This style of shading isn't something I've done much before - it's not quite right yet but I'm getting there. Sort of...
The guy in particular is partly inspired by characters I am currently obsessed with in the Downside novel series by the lovely lovely Stacia Kane. Other inspirations were this photo (and other similar ones)of Billie Holiday and the awesome album cover for The Signal and The Noise album by my fabulous friend Andrew Paul Regan.
Tune in next year to see if I've made any progress with the album cover whatsoever!
